Professional experience
Dr. Nicholas Ahrendt, MD, is a distinguished psychiatrist based in Tucson, Arizona, with over seven years of experience in the field. A graduate of the University of Arizona College of Medicine in 2017, Dr. Ahrendt is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals with mental health and co-occurring disorders.
Currently, Dr. Ahrendt serves as the Associate Medical Director at Sierra Tucson, a premier treatment center specializing in integrative approaches to mental health and addiction recovery. His work at Sierra Tucson emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach to addressing complex mental health needs. Additionally, he practices with Northwest Allied Physicians and accepts Medicare assignments at his Tucson office on East Ajo Way.
In 2024, Dr. Ahrendt took on a leadership role as President of the Arizona Psychiatric Society and serves as the Education Committee Chair. With past roles as Membership Committee and Disaster Response Chair for the Arizona Psychiatric Society, where he contributed to policy advancements related to physician licensure and confidential inquiries.
Through his clinical work, leadership roles, and community involvement, Dr. Ahrendt continues to make significant contributions to the field of psychiatry and the well-being of his patients.
