Membership Development Committee

Committee Chair:

Our Approach

The Membership Development Committee is dedicated to representing the voice of early career psychiatrists and promoting the recruitment, retention, and recognition of members within the Society. This committee is comprised of General Members in their first eight years following graduation from psychiatric residency, working collaboratively to influence decisions and leadership within the Society. The committee plans educational, social, and professional networking events that reflect the interests of its members, while also conducting membership drives and promoting activities to retain and engage members. Additionally, the committee invites distinguished members to apply for Distinguished Fellow status and supports nominations that meet the criteria for distinction within the APA. Join us in fostering a vibrant and supportive community for early-career psychiatrists and all members of the Society.
