Professional experience

Dr. Chiranjir (Ravi) Narine, MD, is a dual board-certified psychiatrist in Adult Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, known for his compassionate and evidence-based approach to mental health care. Born and raised in Guyana, Dr. Narine immigrated to Canada at the age of 16, where he completed his high school and undergraduate education in Toronto. Before pursuing medicine, he worked for Toronto Public Health on the West Nile Virus program, fostering his passion for biology and public health.
Dr. Narine earned his medical degree from All Saints University School of Medicine in Aruba. He completed his internship and residency in psychiatry at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences in Ohio, where he developed a solid foundation in diagnosing and managing mental health disorders. Furthering his expertise, he completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Currently, Dr. Narine serves as the Medical Director at Valleywise Behavioral Health Center and as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Creighton University School of Medicine in Phoenix.
A dedicated advocate for patient care, Dr. Narine specializes in treating developmental, behavioral, emotional, and mental health disorders in children and adolescents. He has a special interest in hospital-based psychiatric care and inpatient treatment. His multicultural background, clinical expertise, and dedication to holistic healing make him a trusted figure in the mental health community. Dr. Narine's professional journey reflects resilience, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of his patients.
