Professional experience
Dr. Payam Sadr, MD, DFAPA, is a distinguished board-certified psychiatrist specializing in general psychiatry. He has extensive experience treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including dementia, bipolar disorder, depression, schizoaffective disorder, and schizophrenia.
A highly respected leader in Arizona’s psychiatric community, Dr. Sadr is affiliated with District Medical Group and Valleywise Health Medical Center in Phoenix. He earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine in Mexico, followed by an internship at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and a residency at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix.
With a career dedicated to both clinical excellence and professional advocacy, Dr. Sadr has made significant contributions to the advancement of psychiatric care. He is fluent in English, Persian/Farsi, and Spanish, enabling him to serve a diverse patient population with cultural sensitivity and expertise.
Dr. Sadr has been a key figure in organized psychiatry, serving as a past president of the Arizona Psychiatric Society (APS) and as an Arizona APA Assembly representative.
