Professional experience
Jasleen Chhatwal, MD, MBBS, DFAPA
Dr. Jasleen Chhatwal is a board-certified psychiatrist and Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, recognized for her leadership in organized psychiatry and her commitment to advancing mental health policy and advocacy. She has played an integral role in shaping psychiatric initiatives at both the state and national levels, with a strong focus on improving access to care and supporting physicians in practice.
Dr. Chhatwal has served in multiple leadership roles within the Arizona Psychiatric Society, including as President, where she helped guide strategic priorities related to advocacy, member engagement, and professional development. She continues to contribute to the Society through ongoing leadership and mentorship, supporting initiatives that strengthen the psychiatric community across Arizona.
In addition to her work at the state level, Dr. Chhatwal represents Arizona in the American Psychiatric Association Assembly, where she actively participates in national policy discussions and helps elevate issues impacting psychiatrists and their patients. Her work reflects a deep commitment to ensuring that the voice of psychiatry is represented in legislative and regulatory spaces.
